In digital engagement there is a different ethic than to the physical world. In the class we were presented these people with disabilities that are part of Virtual Ability Island. This island is a place where people who have different physical, emotional or mental disabilities in real life can come together and create their virtual abilities. It just shows the beauty of the online world. People from all different parts of the world come together and create a community for people who feel that they don't belong anywhere and they kinda adopt them into their "family" and gives them a total new experience that blends together both physical world and virtual world.
This made me appreciate the online class a lot more because i feel a lot more comfortable, cause i don't feel like people can judge me on my appearance or the way i talk or on my accent because i can type in the chat box. And even though some of us came from the same area from the world there were a few in the class that were from different parts of the world, but there was no cultural thinking that was separating us from being united and connecting with no difficulties.
